Inventions and Patents
Throughout his time, Tesla was granted over 300 patents for his inventions, although he had many more creations that he kept to himself. He dabbled in many different areas, including radar, hydro-electric power, robotics, and alternating current, the type of electricity used to power the common household. Although, when you hear many of these things, for most people, Tesla won't come to mind. He received very little lasting recognition for his inventions, with much of the credit going to others who created similar versions of his original ideas. However, Tesla did have many patents to prove his ownership of such concepts. Possibly his greatest creation was the hydro-electric power plant he built at Niagara Falls. This was the very first major station for hydro-electricity in the world, and it brought power to a whole city.
